Welcome to the ABOUT page for the
PANDAKING WEBMANGA!

PandaKing is a webmanga centering around a human known only as Panda. His history is cloaked in mystery. In the current limited chapter run, Panda is chasing down the Vampire Queen Saphron and her cohorts. He confronts his prey with ruthless accuracy, and shows now remorse. This does not mean he is without emotion or honor, as can be plainly seen in the company he keeps:
  • Sean "Snow" - a magical seal companion from the far north, who believes in the just actions of Panda.
  • Butter - a male fairy, who so detests the effeminate and misandry leaning attitudes of his home that he chose to follow a member of a species for which he has little love.
  • Mitsuki "Suki" - while not a traveling companion, Suki - the werewolf daughter of the ninja clan to which Panda belongs - is an important part of Panda's life. Unlike afflicted werewolves, who lack control of their bodies, Suki is a natural "wolf person", like many others in the clan, and is one of the most caring people Panda has ever met.

The PandaKing webmanga is currently sharing the update schedule with projects in "The Library", as a result, there may be weeks where PandaKing is updated regularly once per week, and other weeks where The Library update schedule must take priority. In a perfect world I could make this my full time job, however, I am currently trying to license my board game ( http://www.toraboardgame.com ), as well as publish my novels. Between those and other real life problems (transformed migraines), I may only be lucky to get PandaKing as a steady schedule. Should this change, I'm sure you will be as elated as I. You will find, however, that The Library includes a section called "Panada". All stories, written works and novels within this section further delve into the Earth on which Panda lives. Check out the question and answer below for links to both The Library and Panada:

ATTENTION ALL PROJECT WONDERFUL ADVERTISERS PLEASE READ

YOUR ADS ARE BEING SHOWN! Due to the how Project Wonderful's advertising listing operates, I was only able to 'register' a single website. The very nice people at Project Wonderful told me to use this linking "HUB" site. Your ads are actually displayed within the weblinks so listed: All NEZUMI-13 approved ads will appear on the official PandaKing site as well as all the "GRAPHICAL" interior pages of the PandaKing WebManga. These ads will also appear within the actual STORY PAGES of all WRITTEN WORKS (eStories, eNovels and eProducts) located under the Panada section of The Library. Please see the notice below for direct link for the Panada eBook and eContent website. If you have any further questions, PLEASE email me (the graphic address of my email is located in the bottom right corner of this page), I will gladly show you where your ads appear. :)

"What is The Library?"
The Library is a new way of publishing written eContent - at least I've never seen anyone else do it this way. Basically it leads you to a book prepared for the web for you to read at your leisure. Each page has 3-4 advertising windows, in order to support me and the site. Most completed works you find on the library are immediately ready for hardcopy order. Other works may take some time to obtain hardcopies. I have thousands of pages worth of content ready to place on the web, however, I'm going to space out their public release for various reasons. The Library will be divided into sections, those sections will more easily inform the reader not only the personal rating of the content you are about to read (suggested age for viewing), but the universe in which the piece is set. For example: all things under the Panada section deal with the Earth on which Panda lives. You can find both of these links at the bottom of PandaKing's main page.

"HI! Where are you linking to other websites and art for your fans?"
Outside of the messageboard, you can find my favorite and friendly site links on the Gallery Page! Other links are probably the result of webvertising! Check the store site for information on advertising.

"Did you say "limited run"?"
Yes. Yes, I did. I have currently written 4, 36 page chapters of PandaKing, and plan to end it in a double sized chapter 13. Plans for chapter quantity may be altered as I complete my script (+/- 1), however, I won't know until I am done.

"Do you have any other adventures planned for Panda?"
Yes. Yes, I do. I have one other adventure centering around his quest for his daughter. However, let us concentrate on the story at hand. If I somehow manage to get up to 5 pages per week, then I should be finished with all 13 chapters in less than 120 weeks (just over 2 years). However, the likelihood of me doing more than 2 per week is very slim (252 weeks - under 5 years).

"When did you first start PandaKing?"
A while ago, however my board game interrupted me for 3 months. I decided at the last minute on Halloween to start PandaKing on Halloween and Dia de los Muertos -for the sole reason that I think the two holidays are cool, and where I live nobody really celebrates DdlM. I also thought it fitting since Panda kills vampires!

"Your art sucks!"
:( :sniff: :( At least I'm better than - hrm, wait, I can't openly state my hatred for a professional artist on my corporate website. I know I'm not a great artist, but I'm also not horrible. Yes, I do wish I had Alex Ross' talent - he is awesome (go to www.alexrossart.com for awesome art - and no, he does not know I exist, and we are not affiliated in anyway. I just think he is cool). But, I'll just have to make do with what skills I have. If you really think you can do better, why not visit the Gallery send some cool fan art! Show me what I'm doing wrong! If you like my art but still want to send suggestions, or just want to send some fan art my way, I'd like that too!

"I like your art!"
Thank you, you're awesome!:D

"Dude, I like, totally and to reload a page after viewing it, and well man, you changed the image!"
Yeah, well, even with my crappy artwork, I do have a little bit of perfectionist in my personality. If I see something (such as shading on the wrong side), I'll change it. Doesn't matter how old the comic is. I'm not one of those people who will let a major error stand once it is discovered.

"I hate your website!"
I'm sorry :( I am not much of a web designer.

"I hate people who hate your website!"
Thank you! You're awesome :D

"What's all this nonsense about you having to have a tax license? I'm a web comic person and I make commissions and sell stuff all the time! I think you're wrong. Why won't you do commissioned artwork?"
Yes, I know, other web comic artists manage to skim the IRS by ignoring their duties to collect retail tax for their at home business of commissioned artwork. To top it off, the IRS doesn't seem to actually care (although it may be against the law depending on how much you make in a year from such sales). Unfortunately, Ninja Nezumi Productions, L.L.C. is a licensed corporation with the state, so I am already in the system, and I just don't conceive of making enough money to make the retail licenses worth the hassle.
Yeah, it sucks.
On the other hand, look at it this way: My art is not the best, and I won't be permanently damaging anyone unlucky enough to view my commissioned pieces.
I think Deviant Art will allow me to sell my work as they act like retailers, but I haven't completely checked them out yet.

"Hold up, if you do need a Tax License for commissioned sales, how come you can sell through CafePress.com if you don't already have a Tax License?"
CafePress.com, as well as other Online Retail Fronts (Print on Demand), are the retail stores themselves. They are the ones who actually sell my products, I don't. Even though I manage the items in their stores, they are the retailers. Ninja Nezumi Productions, meanwhile, is classified as a manufacturing company, and thus no retail tax is required as long as I don't turn my place of residence into a retail store. However, I have not yet visited DA to determine if they consider themselves to be a retail front. If they are a retail front, then I will be able to do commissions in the future.

"What about advertising and donations?"
Advertising space isn't a tangible product that's being sold, and isn't considered retail activity.
I'm not actually selling my artwork when you make a donation, you are, instead, considered a supporting viewer and not a customer.

"Ok, so who owns PandaKing? You, or Ninja Nezumi Productions (TM), L.L.C.?"
I own both (more or less). I license PandaKing to Ninja Nezumi Productions (TM), L.L.C., and use NNP to legally cover my product (PK), as an official licensor and producer. Should I ever lose NNP, I'll still own all rights for PandaKing. You probably don't need to know that.

"Yeah, I could have cared less."
Good.

"But I want to know about your board game and Ninja Nezumi Productions (TM), L.L.C.!"
